A board-certified endocrinologist, Dr. Mathioudakis focuses his clinical practice on the care of patients with endocrine disorders, with a particular clinical interest and research focus on diabetes mellitus. His main research focus is on discovering ways to improve patient safety and quality among hospitalized patients with diabetes. He is the Endocrine Director of the Johns Hopkins Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot and Wound Clinic and is actively investigating the causes and treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. In addition, Dr. Mathioudakis has a basic science and clinical research background in pituitary tumors. Dr. Nestoras Mathioudakis graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and trained in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He did a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and then joined the faculty in this division in 2012.

The eDiabetes Review series will consist of a monthly review of journal literature on key, pertinent topics, emailed as either a newsletter or podcast, to clinicians caring for patients with diabetes. The timely commentary on current research, best practices and clinical management issues is provided by an expert panel of diabetes specialists. The activities are delivered as 8 bi-monthly newsletters and 6 alternating podcasts. Participants will have up to 2 years to complete the 8 newsletters and 6 podcasts in order to earn CME credit.

The timely commentary on current research, best practices and clinical management issues is provided by an expert panel of diabetes specialists. The activities are delivered as 6 bi-monthly newsletters and 6 alternating podcasts. Participants will have up to 2 years to complete the 6 newsletters and 6 podcasts in order to earn CME credit.

Successful Completion
To take the post-test for eDiabetes Review you will need to visit the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine's CME website or the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing website. If you have already registered for other Hopkins CE programs at these sites, simply enter the requested information when prompted. Otherwise, complete the registration form to begin the testing process. A passing grade of 70% or higher on the post-test/evaluation is required to receive CE credit.
