Previous partnerships
We are grateful to all of our previous partners who have helped to create better outcomes for people living with and at risk of diabetes.
Our partnership with AstraZenecaÂ
We partnered with AstraZeneca in 2018, looking to tackle failings in diabetes care by developing the Primary Care Leadership programme. In 2020, this was rebranded to the Discovering Leadership programme. These leadership courses enabled healthcare professionals to build their confidence as leaders, empowering them to drive improvements in diabetes care.

Our partnership with Britvic
Our three-year partnership with Britvic began in 2018 with the aim of making sure more children with type 1 diabetes got the care they needed to thrive at school. We worked with them to deliver our Good Diabetes Care in School Award, a recognition of efforts to improve care and equal opportunities for children with type 1. Â
Thanks to Britvic’s support, we worked with schools to help them provide the right clinical and emotional support to young people, resulting in 215 schools receiving the award. Our resources for schools were also ordered and downloaded over 3,000 times.Â
Â
Our partnership with Florette
We partnered with Florette on the launch of a new salad range in 2019. The partnership, spanning two and a half years, meant that 3p for every pack sold was donated to Diabetes UK, raising over £60,000 in total. A healthy diet can play a key role in reducing risk of type 2 diabetes, so we were proud to work with Florette to encourage people to live healthier.Â
Â
Our partnership with Mindful Chef
We teamed up with Mindful Chef in 2022, with a shared goal of making healthy eating easier for people living with diabetes and at risk of type 2 diabetes. Throughout our partnership, two co-created recipes were available on the Mindful Chef menu every week. Our clinical team provided nutritional consultation for, and approval of, each co-created recipe.
Mindful Chef also introduced detailed clear nutritional labelling for all its meals, including carb amounts, to also help people living with all types of diabetes when carb-counting.
Â
Our partnership with Roche
We worked closely with Roche from 2016-2022, who supported us to help improve the lives of people living with and at risk of diabetes. They helped people to understand their risk of developing type 2 diabetes through a Roche-branded version of our Know Your Risk tool, and sponsored a number of our conferences and events for healthcare professionals. Most recently, they collaborated with us on our Engaging Communities project which aims to explore and address gaps in access to diabetes care. Â
Â
Our partnership with Saladmaster
We partnered with Saladmaster from 2019 to 2022 to raise awareness of type 2 diabetes and encourage people to eat healthier, live better and reduce their risk of developing the condition. Saladmaster signposted customers to our website and resources, as well as kindly supporting our London Bridges Challenge event. Â
