Our volunteers are at the heart of all we do. Without your support, we could not carry out work in research, education and care that is vital to our vision of a world where diabetes can do no harm.
Our volunteers bring skills, experience, enthusiasm and commitment to Diabetes UK. Volunteering can make a difference in your life too, helping to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun.
What can we offer volunteers in the North of England?
We offer a personalised approach to volunteering in the North of England. We host regular volunteer events and training sessions, so we can stay connected with our volunteers. These events are offered online and face-to-face so you can keep in touch with us and each other. When you register as a volunteer, you will be given a designated volunteer manager from our team, so you have 1:1 support and contact as you need it.
Money spent during your volunteering time will be reimbursed and we can support in advance with booking travel, so you are not out of pocket. If you would like a reference after or during your volunteering with us, we are also happy to provide it.
